As a mom of an incoming Dual Language 4th grader, I have absolutely loved our time at Deer Park and am looking forward to the years ahead for not only my learner but yours as well! I am honored to serve as your PTA President for the 2024-2025 school year alongside our incredible PTA Board. On behalf of the Deer Park PTA, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Deer Park family.
What is the PTA and why is it important? PTA stands for Parent-Teacher Association, consisting of parents, family members and teachers working together to support and enrich all students. We support school staff, help promote student self-esteem, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering, funding, and fun events! Our learners are our #1 priority!
To meet these important objectives, we fundraise. Here are a few programs that we have supported in the past: Ranger Walk, Sweetheart Dance, Boys’ Night Out, Veterans Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, Grandparents’ Day, the Great American Teach In, Ranger Round Up, 5th grade events and various other fundraisers throughout the year.
The main way to help us achieve our dreams this year is for your family to join the PTA and become involved in our school! Please consider joining the PTA to help us exceed our financial goals for this year. Your support allows us to enhance each child’s experience here at DPE and we would love for you to be part of our success! When you join the PTA, you are not obligated to attend meetings nor volunteer; you can participate as much or as little as you’d like, and please know a little help goes a long way.
Another way that you can help our school is to volunteer! By volunteering with the PTA, you’ll be able to connect with other families who share the same desire to make our learners’ experience a more robust and enjoyable one.
