PTA President’s Letter

Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year!

As a mom of an incoming 1st grader, I absolutely love our school and all it stands for and I am honored that I was elected to serve as your PTA President.  On behalf of the Deer Park PTA, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Deer Park family.  You ask what is PTA?  PTA stands for Parent-Teacher Association, consisting of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all students.  We support school staff, help promote student self-esteem, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering, funding and fun events!  We are very student focused!!!!   To meet these important objectives, we fundraise. Here are a few programs that we have sponsored in the past:  Ranger Round Up, Book Fairs, Ranger Walk, Sweetheart Dance, Boys Night Out, Veterans’ Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, Pumpkin Drive Through and various other fundraisers throughout the year.

The main way to help us achieve our dreams for this year is to join the PTA and become involved in our school!  Please consider joining the PTA and being part of the great plans we have in store to help us exceed our goals for this year.  You can join the PTA at  Your support allows us to enhance each child’s experience here at DPE and we would love for you to be part of our success!  When you join the PTA, you are not obligated to attend meetings nor volunteer; you can participate as much or as little as you’d like, and please know a little help goes a long way.

Another way that you can help our school is to volunteer!  By volunteering with the PTA, you’ll be able to connect with other families who share the same desire to make our learners’ experience a more robust and enjoyable one.  To become part of our volunteers, please reach out to Alisha Stockton Chwala at

We are always looking for sponsorships from local businesses that believe in our mission.  If you have a local business and want to be part of our family, please reach out to Ashley Coxwell at

Please join us on September 9th@8:15 to learn more about the PTA and how we can utilize your talents to support our students, teachers and staff.  Always remember Rangers Lead the Way!

Respectfully yours,

Kelleigh Ambs, President
